ACROSS’s story began with the idea of wanting to connect people across different continents, countries, and cultures through language. The vision that initially started this education center began with using the English language as a platform where people from the East to West could meet and form relationships.

People that wanted to learn English could meet with those who could offer those skills in order to help them master the language. This vision evolved into the creation of a school catering to the needs of families who lacked access to quality education due to financial constraints.

During the fall of 2020, ACROSS officially opened its doors and started with the 2nd and 3rd grade with 4 elementary students and 14 secondary students. By 2023-24, ACROSS had grown to encompass 1st to 6th grade classes, alongside secondary tutoring, serving a total of 45 students.

ACROSS was founded by Justin Lyon, with Andrey and Kalina Muzhchil. Justin served as the director and Kalina as headteacher and principal. As of 2023, Kalina is the current director. As ACROSS continues to grow, we envision a future where every student of ACROSS has access to resources and opportunities to become part of a global community where they can thrive relationally, academically, and professionally empowered to reach their full potential and become a light wherever they go.
